Step out of the warmth of the sauna into a tub beside it, where the touch of cold water on your skin awakens every sense and helps you recover from a busy day. Alternatively, you can treat yourself to a wonderfully warm and relaxing bath. Either way is possible, as the Premium NordIce S tub is equipped with the Dualex air-source heat pump, which cools the tub water and also includes a heating option.
Premium Insulated Tub
Our Premium range, the Nordic Ice S Dualex, is a rectangular tub that is panel-clad on the outside. This fully insulated tub, equipped with a plastic inner shell, features a bench sculpted from gray stone at one end. The bench stays securely in place on the bottom of the tub, thanks to the weight of two stone legs and the bench itself. The bench is primarily gray, though the stone shade may vary. The light weight and size of the tub make it easy to install in small yards or on terraces. The tub is suitable for one user and can be installed using a plug-and-play method.
Efficient Heating & Cooling
The air-source heat pump is a complete system that includes cooling and heating functions, a circulating water pump, a filter, ozone purification, and a control panel. The device has a heat transfer capacity of approximately 4–5 kW, and the filter operates whenever the device is on. The estimated cooling or heating time is about 8 °C per hour in S-sized tubs, while in larger M-sized tubs, it is 4–5 °C per hour.
The outer shell is made out of sleek panels made of heat-treated softwood. The heat treatment improves the wood's resistance to rot and reduces the shrinking and swelling of the wood, when moist. The stylish deep black, surface-treated thermo wood is durable and the paint protects the wood from dirt and UV radiation. This easy-care and recyclable panel material is also used in the Kirami FinVision® Misty modules. The hot tub and sauna look great together thanks to their matching external cladding. The inner surface is made of dark gray, easy-care plastic. The timeless and trendy gray color blends seamlessly into various outdoor spaces.
The gross heat output of the Dual heater and cooler is 1 kW and the net heat output transferred to the water is 2.3 kW.
Optional Accessory: An insulation cover specifically designed for the tub; the NordicIce S insulation cover and a step set.
The bathing area is 58cm wide, 102cm long, 90cm deep and total water volume 500 litres.
Externally, the tub is 91cm wide, 132cm long and 100cm high.

The dry weight of the cold tub is 100 kg so easy to move around
It is important with all tubs to be placed on an even surface that can bear the whole weight of the tub once full of water. This foundation must be level, which can be achieved with various aggregates such gravel, stone and concrete.
When placing the cold tub consider possible places to drain your bathing water too. If needed you can lead off the water with an outlet hose.
During wintertime, when the tub is not in use please ensure the tub is emptied of all water. If water is left in the tub during winter there is a risk of freezing temperatures, which can cause your bathing water to freeze and expand which can cause the drainage pipe to crack.
The bottom plugs and exhaust valves need to be left open so that any water collected to the tub will discharge.
In order to help keep the tub clean you can buy a model specific cover. You can also take care of the cleanliness and hygiene of the tub by washing and drying it carefully and often.
Washing can be done, with a mild disinfectant. Kirami sells chemicals that can be used for keeping the water clean. When using chemicals, the pH of the water should always be monitored and kept in the given limits, i.e. 7.0-7.6. to test your pH levels you require litmus strips. They are available with a water treatment pack from Kirami.
