Product description
The Family L hot tub has been developed to take the needs of the whole family into account, regardless of age and physical condition. As a part of its design, the hot tub has a built-in additional step that make it easy to get in and out of the bathing area also improving safety. The Family L hot tub model has been developed by popular request and is large enough to allow smaller groups an abundance of space or allow larger groups of up to 8 adults.
The outer shell is made out of a choice of either Coal Black stained spruce, Thermowood, Red Cedar or Night Black recycled composite plastic panels that suit a modern environment.
The hot tub is heated either with an efficient black 35kW CUBE heater with a timeless design and colour; it heats large tubs quickly. It is made out of high-quality marine-grade aluminium. The Family L is large enough to allow the use of the largest heater in the Kirami range, the 42kW TUBE heater. This heater is a master piece in engineering and looks stunning in its deep bronze paintwork.
The barrel diameter is 200 cm and water fill volume is 1500 litres. It is suitable for 6-8 people. The dry weight of the hot tub body only is 140 kg. The net heat output of the CUBE heater is 35kW and the net heat output of the TUBE heater is 42kW
The Family L is a firm favourite with our business use customers. Owners and operators of 4 to 5 bed properties, whether holiday lets or large glamping units often find the tub to be the perfect flexible and efficient size for their guests.
Price includes the tub, heater, adjustable air vent, 150mm x 2m flue set with 1m heat shield and weather proof cowl, thermometer, ash shovel and free mainland UK delivery on a Kirami UK vehicle.
Don’t forget your Kirami hot tub can also be used as a cold tub or ice bath. Simply fill up your tub with cold water, give the heater a day off and immerse yourself into some cold water bathing. Cold water training is an evolving worldwide trend with proven health benefits, not just for your body but also for your mind. By purchasing a Kirami wood-fired hot tub and not heating it you can have the best of both worlds, hot or cold, it’s your choice.
It is important with all hot tubs to be placed on an even surface that can bear the whole weight of the tub once full of water. This foundation must be level, which can be achieved with various aggregates such gravel, stone and concrete.
When placing the hot tub consider possible places to drain your bathing water too. If needed you can lead off the water with an outlet hose. The water discharge valve is located on the opposite side of the stove to which you can attach Kirami outlet hose. The hose has 38 mm inner diameter.
Take fire safety in consideration when placing the hot tub. Always ensure that the chimney is located away from flammable materials. Remember to check the surrounding including the distance both sideways and vertically to avoid the risk of fire.
During wintertime, when the tub is not in use please ensure the tub is emptied of all water. If water is left in the tub during winter there is a risk of freezing temperatures, which can cause your bathing water to freeze and expand which can cause the drainage pipe to crack.
The bottom plugs and exhaust valves need to be left open so that any water collected to the tub will discharge.
If you are wanting to use your tub over a couple of days during the wintery season you must try to maintain sufficient heat in your water to avoid it freezing. This may mean using an insulated cover and monitoring the water temperature to see if you need to use your heater to prevent the water temperature dropping to freezing.
It is important before lighting up the hot tub’s heater to check the water level inside of the tub. The heater must not be lit when the tub is empty or the water level is below minimum fill limit. The minimum fill limit is marked on the heater and in the instructions.
When emptying your tub after use, Do not discharge the water until the fire and embers in your burner have burnt out completely.
In order to help keep the hot tub clean you can buy a model-specific cover. You can also take care of the cleanliness and hygiene of the tub by washing and drying it carefully and often.
Washing can be done, with a mild disinfectant. Kirami sells chemicals that can be used for keeping the water clean. When using chemicals, the pH of the water should always be monitored and kept in the given limits, i.e. 7.0-7.6. to test your pH levels you require litmus strips. They are available with a water treatment pack from Kirami.
